This is Saphentic, the white-bodied sapphire Spirepoint Gemspitter adopted from NightmareRebuff.

I patted my Nocturnal Night Dancer, Nexia's neck and grinned. "You up for a flight away from Berk?" I asked, leaning down to look her in the eye. 'Sure. Just don't fall off me again,' Nexia replied telepathically. "That only happened once because you didn't have a saddle!" I huffed, hopping up onto her saddle. Nexia shrugged, beating her wings a few times before she took off into the air at speeds that would rival a Night Fury. 'Where are we headed? We've already checked out the islands to the north and the east, so the only unknown options left are south and west.' Nexia mused, hovering in the air as she glanced around, frowning. "Just go in whatever direction you want to," I replied. Nexia shrugged slightly, tilting herself sideways slightly and flew off towards the south-west.

It took me and Nexia several hours before we actually spotted an island. "Nexia, hover now." Nexia pulled her wings up quickly so the wind caught underneath her now tilted wings, slowing her to a stop. 'What? Are we going to land now?' Nexia asked, her telepathic voice a bit louder in my head now that I was leaning down, close to her head. "That island down there sort of looks like Outcast island, doesn't it?" I asked, frowning. Nexia examined the rugged island below us, clearly calculating the odds of it being a place for Outcasts. 'Doubtful. If you look closely, you can see that there are some dragons there; Outcasts keep untamed dragons locked away. Tamed dragons are also, surprisingly, kept locked up as well. They'd never left a dragon out, walking around without someone right beside it, using chains to guide it.' Nexia explained, narrowing her eyes as she glanced at me. "Ohh. Then land, I'd like to get a closer look at that island, so land now." I ordered, patting her upper forearm. Nexia dived downwards from her hovering position, pulling her wings close to her sides before she extended them out quickly, landing easily like she always did.

The island itself was odd, with only a small amount of trees scattered about the island. The dragons Nexia had seen stayed very close to the water surrounding the island, glancing over their shoulders as though they expected something to come and attack them. There was a surprising amount of caves on the island that looked like they'd been dug out by dragons. There were medium sized mounds of rock arching out of the ground with caves in them. Boulders were everywhere, some of them having been smashed into pieces. "Huh. Weird island," I muttered, hopping off of Nexia's back. Nexia turned her head to face me frowning. 'Uh, what the heck are you doing? Get back on my saddle!' Nexia growled telepathically at me. "Why? I can walk by myself, you know," I pointed out, confused. 'Look at the dragons here, genius,' Nexia hissed sarcastically. 'They're clearly afraid of something and they're dragons! Think of whatever they're scared of could do to a human!' Nexia glared daggers at me, scowling. "Fine, fine, quit yelling," I grumbled, pulling myself back up onto Nexia's saddle.

Nexia nodded, pleased as I returned to her saddle, and turned, heading towards the center of the island. "Really?" I asked, grinning, "You're taking me to the center of the island where the scary thing probably is when you didn't want me to get hurt. Good job, smart one." Nexia hissed, lashing up one wings and smacked me in the face. 'Be quiet, I know what I'm doing,' Nexia grumbled, annoyed. I shrugged, not wanting to argue with a creature who could kill me with a single blow. Nexia was about to head into one of the caves when a furious roar blasted from out of the cave she'd been looking at. Nexia jumped backwards, snarling in shock, nearly throwing me off her saddle.

The dragon that'd roared lunged at of the cave towards Nexia, a loud growl rumbling in its chest. Nexia hastily darted to the side, pulling her wings together closely to avoid me falling off. I stared in surprise at the dragon in front of Nexia. It appeared to have beautiful sapphires growing on it, with the rest of it's body being stark white, it's eyes gleaming a magnificent sapphire blue color. 'I should've known it was a Spirepoint here!' Nexia spat telepathically at me, whipping her tail back and forth furiously. 'They're territorial.. We need to get out of here without it catching us.' With that, Nexia spun around and took off, before she froze in place, her pupils going into slits so fast I was pretty sure they vanished. She spun herself around, her tail being held in place by what Nexia had called a 'Spirepoint'. 'Let go of me, you insolent fool! Unless you wish to have your eyes gouged out,' Nexia spat threatening, blasting cold blue flames at the Spirepoint's face. It let go and dodged to the side effortlessly.

He - I was pretty sure it was a he - hissed at Nexia, lashing his claws at her. "Uhh, if you're gonna be fighting, Nexia, then let me off!" I yelled in her ear, knowing that when Nexia was fighting, she very often rolled to the side while blasting flames to both dodge and attack opponents. Nexia hissed, but dropped her wings slightly so I could jump off. Unfortunately, I'd distracted her and the Spirepoint easily knocked her to the side, his claws slicing down her left cheek and her snout. I gaped slightly- I'd never seen a dragon strong enough to knock Nexia off her paws.

Nexia didn't move, her eyes wide and stunned in shock. The Spirepoint whipped his head around to glare at me. He raised his wings slightly and pulled himself up to full height, making himself look even more intimidating. Frightening or not, I wasn't going to let a dragon see me scared. I reached down slightly, pulling out a sheathed dagger from my the small bag I always had around my waist. I always kept two sheathed daggers in there, along with the emerald ring given to me by the legendary Night Fury I'd befriended. The Spirepoint frowned at the dagger and lunged towards me, swinging one paw at my hand in vain attempt to get the dagger away from me. I frantically darted to the side, pulling the sheath off the dagger as fast as I could without slicing my hand on the blade. The Spirepoint twisting back around and lunged at me again, knocking me down this time.

I hardly managed to keep the Spirepoint from digging it's teeth into my neck when an idea popped into my mind. If I could actually win against this dragon, then there was that tiny possibility I could befriend him. I narrowed my eyes, deciding to go along with that idea, even though the odds were stacked very high against both me winning and befriending this Spirepoint. Besides, out of the dragons I'd trained, I'd tamed four of my dragons by defeating them and proving I was stronger than they were; granted, I almost died each time, but I still won. I stabbed the dagger into the Spirepoint's shoulder as it lunged downwards at my neck again, a triumphant grinning stretching over my face as I ducked out from underneath the Spirepoint, who reared backwards it surprise- just enough for me to get away from it. The Spirepoint roared furiously, trying to spin around and catch me, but I was already yanking the dagger back from it's shoulder by the time he did.

Grinning, I tried to stab it's neck, just below it's chin only to have the tip of the dagger get bent downwards slightly as I noticed that that area was protected by some sapphires on it's body. The Spirepoint made a laughing noise at me, clearly amused at how easily I had made that dagger useless. I scowled furiously before I noticed Nexia finally, and slowly, rising back to her feet, still looking dazed. Nexia pulled her wings up again, baring her fangs furiously and jumped on the Spirepoint's back before he could attack he again. Nexia glared down at the Spirepoint as she dug her claws tightly into the Spirepoint's shoulders, her claws pressing deeper into the stab wound I'd made.

Nexia forcefully made her telepathic voice enter the Spirepoint's mind, growling, 'Give up now and I'll allow you to continue living your pathetic life.' The Spirepoint writhed underneath Nexia furiously for several minutes before going limp, his head lowering in reluctant defeat. Nexia glared at him, slowly pulling her claws from his shoulders and warily stepped off of him, expecting him to jump back up and attack either of us. Surprisingly, he stayed down, eyeing Nexia uneasily as he slowly pushed himself to his feet. Nexia snarled, beginning to lunge forward, before I raised one hand slightly and Nexia froze quickly, frowning. 'What are you doing? I could kill him right now and we could leave safely!' Nexia hissed. I glared at her, "That wouldn't be fair. If he tries to attack me, you can kill him. If he doesn't then back off." Nexia stepped back unhappily, keeping her narrowed eyes fixed on the Spirepoint.

I hesitantly walked right up to the Spirepoint, almost immediately hearing a low growl coming from him. "Calm down; I'm not going to hurt you now, and neither is Nexia." I said lightly, continuing over to him until I was directly in front of him. He glared down at me, glancing at the dented dagger in my hand warily. I frowned, glancing down at it, and tossed the dagger over near Nexia. "Burn it," I commanded, nodding towards Nexia. She whined, but set fire to the dagger anyway, stomping her paw on it after several seconds to prevent the fire from spreading. I turned back to the Spirepoint, who looked a bit more calm now that I lacked a weapon that I could use quickly. I held up my hand towards him, and before he could do anything, I lightly rested my hand on his forehead. He froze, frowning in confusion, and tilted his head very slightly, confused, though he didn't try to pull away from me.

I smiled slightly at him, "Neither me or Nexia are going to try and hurt you now. I know you won't hurt us now, either. I just want you to come back with me and Nexia, and we'll heal you there. You can either leave or stay at that point." I explained softly, pulling my hand back. The Spirepoint hesitated before he nodded slowly. I nodded back at him, walking over to Nexia and climbing up onto her saddle. The Spirepoint slowly trailed after me, frowning at Nexia uneasily. Nexia stared at him for a moment, eyes narrowed, before she leaned forwards and licked his shoulder, final acceptance in her eyes.

It took us a while to get back the Spirepoint back to Berk, considering both Nexia and the Spirepoint were still injured. By the time we reached my house in Berk, night had already fallen and a great majority of the vikings were sleeping. "C'mon," I muttered quietly. "Don't wake anybody up." Nexia nodded slightly, and nudged the Spirepoint into my house. The Spirepoint glanced around uneasily, while Nexia headed over to the fireplace and shot blue flames into it, giving the house an almost eerie blue light.

The Spirepoint crouched down a little bit away from the fireplace, staying close to the wall. Nexia glanced over at me, telepathically speaking to me once more. 'Go get the bandages and whatever else you need for him. I'll make sure he doesn't do anything.' Nexia said softly, her tail waving slightly. I nodded, smiling at her. "Just make sure he doesn't get to close to the fire; I think those are sapphires growing on him and I don't want anything to happen to them. Something makes me think those sapphires are very important to him. Nexia just shrugged and padded over to the Spirepoint and laid down beside him, licking at his shoulder, which was still bleeding.

I quickly sprinted upstairs, careful not to trip on any of the steps (which I've done quite a lot) and looked around for the medical supplies I kept tucked away somewhere. I'd had to use them quite a lot before, so at this point I knew by heart where it was. I walked quickly over to the chest at the foot of my bed on floor and popped it open. There was a multitude of things in the chest; the medical stuff, a bag filled with moonstones, a silver chain necklace with a Night Fury's scale on the end of it, and some other things. My Terrible Terror, Purus Anima, was perched on my windowsill and flew over quickly when she noticed that I was pulling out the medical supplies. She landed lightly on my head, tilting her head to one side and gesturing towards the medical supplies as if to ask what I was doing. "Nexia and a Spirepoint are hurt; they're downstairs right now." I explained to the Terror Terror. She nodded slightly, hopping off my head and onto my bed. I turned away from the open chest, and heard it click shut- Purus Anima had most likely closed it from me, like always.

I hopped on downstairs and almost stared laughing when I noticed Nexia and the Spirepoint. Nexia was still licking at his shoulder wound while the Spirepoint kept pushing one paw and her cheek to try and get her to stop, while he licked the claw marks on her face when she turned to hiss at him. It was probably the weirdest and most adorable thing I'd ever seen dragons do. I walked quietly over to them, poking Nexia's tail with the tip of my foot to get her attention. She turned to look up at me, huffily backing up slightly so I could get to the Spirepoint. The Spirepoint looked at me, frowning in annoyance. "Hey, I'm trying to help you; Nexia can help you herself later," I huffed, smiling at him. He shrugged, extending his foreleg at so I could get a good look at his right shoulder. It was hardly bleeding anymore, thanks to Nexia. "Nexia, come here and hold his leg up and still," I said, looking over at the bored looking dragon. Nexia glanced up, rolling herself onto her paws and padded over, sticking her neck underneath his leg to hold it up, while the Spirepoint immediately returned to licking the claw marks on Nexia's face.

I pulled out a little bottle filled with a white substance. "This'll sting after several seconds- don't break anything in here like Nexia did before," I warned with an amused glance towards Nexia, who hissed furiously at me while pushing at the Spirepoint's face to make him stop licking the claw marks he'd made. I popped the cap off the bottle, pouring a little bit of it into the wound. The substance quickly spread through his wound, beginning to foam up after a moment or two. The Spirepoint froze at the sudden stinging sensation in his shoulder and whined unhappily. "I said it would sting," I pointed out, grabbing one of the roll of bandages. The Spirepoint just huffed and lowered his head onto Nexia's paws in attempt to get her to side with him, though Nexia just pushed one paw against his face.

I wrapped the bandages around the wound multiple times until that roll of bandages ran out. "Nexia, hold that in place." Nexia pulled her paw away from the Spirepoint's face and pressed it to the end of the bandages. I pulled a clip out from the supplies, pushing Nexia's paw away and quickly clipped the bandages into place. I repeated this on his other shoulder. "Now stand up and walk from this wall to the door and back," I commanded. The Spirepoint pulled himself up to his feet, walking awkwardly from the wall to the door, turned around and stumbled on back. "Yeah... Your one shoulder that just got hit with Nexia's claws will heal easy; the other will probably take a few weeks," I explained. The Spirepoint nodded slightly, curling up against the wall again. I turned to Nexia, quickly applying the white substance to the claw marks on her cheek and muzzle.

She didn't react as badly as she had before, and simply laid down again by the Spirepoint, who grinned at her. "Hmm.. I'm going to guess you're staying here now, huh?" I asked, smiling at Nexia and the Spirepoint in amusement. Nexia glanced at the Spirepoint curiously, while the Spirepoint paused, blinking slowly. He didn't react for a few moments before he nodded, dropping his head onto Nexia's paws again. I grinned, leaning over and rubbing his head. "You'll need a name then... How about Saphentic?" The Spirepoint nodded, not really caring about what I named him, and rubbed his forehead against Nexia's chin, making a purring noise. I just giggled, picking up the medical supplies and heading back upstairs before I glanced over my shoulder at the two. They were definitely going to be great friends, that was definite.
